Final Post!

 I really enjoyed almost every aspect of this experience! Since I previously have had rats as pets, it was super neat to be able to train Catnip. It made me wish I had taught my past pet rats to do tricks! I enjoyed being able to go in and hold her anytime I wanted to! She really loves to hide in pockets or in your hair. The only thing I did not like was how often I was having to commute back to school. It was about a 30 minute drive from where I was coming from and the cost of gas started to add up. I would recommend having details of how training in the lab takes multiple days on campus in the class information when students sign up, just to let students know before hand so they can plan accordingly. The only misconception I overcame was the idea that Catnip would not learn fast enough in order to proceed to the next FR schedule. She did and I was able to make it to the very last schedule. It made me realize how smart rats can be! Overall, I enjoyed this experience and I would do it again if I had the chance!
